While Sgt. Humes has trained instructors as far West as Alaska, and as far East as North Carolina; these are what he considers as the preeminent teaching engagements of his career.
A nationally represented selection committee chose Sgt. Humes to be a presenter at the 2004 Annual Training Conference of the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors; where he trained instructors in classes on Dynamic Striking Techniques.
He was also chosen to present at the 2009 International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors Combative Skills Symposium, again training instructors in Dynamic Striking Techniques.
Nationally represented selection committees chose Sgt. Humes to be a presenter at the 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 Annual Training Conference of the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association in Chicago; where he trained instructors in Critical Combative Concepts.
